⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3-ish stars… with musical bonus points)

We visited Old Beach Tavern for dinner and live music, and let’s just say it was a full experience.

The band, Shannon and the Reunion, absolutely crushed it — they were the real MVPs of the night. Great energy, great sound, and honestly worth the trip alone. 🎶👏

Now… about the food. It took about an hour and a half to arrive. By the time it hit the table, we had aged slightly and considered starting a small herb garden. When it finally arrived, it was… barely warm. Like “took a quick stroll past the oven” warm.

The twist? It was actually tasty! If it had arrived hot and before we finished a second round of drinks, we might’ve been writing a five-star love letter.

Old Beach Tavern has potential — the flavor is there, the vibe is fun, and the band is fantastic. But they might want to consider inviting Gordon Ramsay for a motivational pep talk in the kitchen. 🔥🍽️

We’ll come back for the music. Next time, we’ll bring snacks… just in case.

Average food, high prices.
We went for lunch on a Saturday, and it was close to empty. The server was great, and very attentive, but the prices were too high for average food. We got the crab dip appetizer and that was very tasty. I got the “Mother-clucker” chicken sandwich and it was big, but tasted too generic. Too fried almost. The description made it sound better. We also got the Steak tacos and the fish and chips. Steak tacos were average and nothing was special about them, disappointing. The Fish and Chips were good. 3 stars just because of the high pricing and average food. Atmosphere was great!

Fabulous! Great food all around, excellent happy hour and my 8-year old daughter loved the wings!! Will visit again very soon! We started off with the Wild Wicked Tuna Bites. My wife who generally doesn’t like seafood ate most of it. That should tell you something. Each of us had a different meal.i ordered the wings, my daughter orders the 6oz steak that’s part of the kids meal, and my wife ordered the shrimp. The shrimp did not disappoint! They were big and plentiful! Wife ate them all.the wings were good! I expected the wings to be covered in sauce, however they arrived plain. But what I didn’t know was the sauce came separate and you dip your own wings. This was a great idea as my daughter ordered her steak. My daughter is extremely picky so she wanted to try my wings. Since the wings came out plain, my daughter tore through those like there was no tomorrow! We ended up trading our meals. She took the wings and I took her steak! So wings were perfect for her. I enjoyed a couple that I had as well. As for the steak, I ended up eating it for my daughter. It was phenomenal! The 6oz was actually filling for me and it tasted great! Overall, excellent food and very cold beer! Probably the coldest beer I have had yet in Virginia Beach!
